Three's A Crowd

I have a mean sister. Except, she's mean psychologically and not physically. I don't really know which is worse, but I sure don't like the way she is. She can go piss up a rope, as far as I'm concerned at this point. Although obviously it all still gets under my skin. I just don't know how to make her disappear, even though she's chosen to evade herself from me (can I use evade in that tense?). I really don't like it all, and I am trying to build myself a family outside of those with whom I share blood. Through the courses of our lives, we have become so very different that indeed we are not even friends. It sounds easy to deal with on paper (computer screen?) but it is much harder when you've already lost the bulk of your family to death or famine*. Well, off I am to bed. Not to visit her FaceBook page for a long time now. Ideally, not at all again, but I am an honest lass, so I know I'll be back there before the year's through... *sigh* some people never learn, do they...

*Famine, in this sense, my sense, refers to the dire state of life my family was in due to the choices my parents made in their lifetimes. We were famished in many senses of the word.

Back to the Grind

Well, I'm afraid it's back to the grind for me today. I slept in and have very little time to get ready. So what better way to spend my limited time than blogging?!

G'day to y'all!

Whadda Ya Gonna Do???

In my Italian kick for the day, I've been missing The Sopranos. What an excellent show... one I wish would've never ended. Sigh. Alas, all good things must come to an end. ;)

When You Wish Upon a Star (You Won't Get Very Far...)

I really, really, really, really wish I could go to the Oregon Country Fair. It's been years since I last went and I could REALLY use a break right about now. *major sigh*

Math Makes Me a Cynical Little Git

Bloody hell. My brain is positively fried. Toooooo muuuuuuuch maaaaaaath...

BUT - the good thing is that as of 7 am this morning, I had no bloody clue what we had just learned the day before (hang with me here, not to the good part yet), but by about 10 am, I was beginning to understand and needed less and less help as the morning went on. This is good.

Test Monday. Feels doable.

Passing is the only goal. Must pass. Doubtful I won't. Short sentences. Are helpful. When brain. Is fried. Even if. And when. They aren't. Proper sentences.

Anyway, must go eat piiiiiiiiiiizza. When in need of a counter to mathematics, I highly recommend a slice of the greasy stuff (with a cold beer, of course. Duh!).

Alles wohl.

#%$^*#$%@!

I am just green with envy. Green, I tell you!

*sigh*

So here's the deal. Years and years ago, when I was a child, specifically, I lived with family G* (not the real first letter of their last name). I was to the the eldest child in the G family, as their two eldest children were too old to live at home any more and had long since gone. So that made me the oldest of their three younger children: a twelve-year-old boy, a ten-year-old girl, and an eight-year-old boy. I was fourteen.

So I lived with the G family at this time and I was for all intents and purposes part of the clan. I didn't stay long, as they were raving Fundamentalist Christians and I just couldn't take any more of them burning my t-shirts and books if they didn't agree with the "messages" therein.

Fast forward to today, nearly 12 years later, and that twelve-year-old boy is all growed up. And is a famous photographer in L.A.. And is really hot. Albeit conceited and wild, but really hot.

There was a time when it was thought that we would marry. ... He's rich, fun, HOT, famous, and I am so fucking jealous of him right now! My life is so not rich, fun, hot, or famous!

Call the waaambulance, I know. Well, you'd be jealous if you were me, too. I guess I'll link to a picture of him. Well, maybe I shouldn't just in case someone gets the bright idea to contact him and tell him that I am some seething little jealous woman peeking at his blogs to see what new adventure he's up to.

I totally wouldn't fit into his life or lifestyle at all today. I'm not his type and he's not mine. But it sure is fun to wonder about the what-ifs. Oh who am I kidding? It isn't fun at all! It bloody stinks! :(
